About AHPBA
Join a group of hundreds of doctors who share your goals and passions of raising the standards of care for patients with diseases affecting the liver pancreas and biliary system. The AHPBA is an organization where you can exchange your ideas, concerns and enthusiasm with other doctors who have your interests in common.
The AHPBA has annual meetings, educational sessions and courses to increase your awareness of what is happening in our field of surgery. Patient care changes everyday and the AHPBA helps you and other surgeons like you keep up with the fast paced changes.
Some benefits of membership are intangible, like the friendships that you will gain.
The AHPBA was inaugurated on November 12, 1994 in Chicago, Illinois. It has grown from a handful of surgeons interested in HPB surgery to a membership of over 750 today.
