Information for Members
As a member of the AHPBA you have shown your commitment to improved patient care and surgical setting and education in the related field hepato-pancreato-biliary. The committee of the AHPBA Memberships invites you to participate in the growth of the Association, encouraging your colleagues to join as we go forward in the field of HPB. With your help, the committee can continue its work of increasing the level and number of members of the Association. If you know a colleague interested in becoming part of the Association, please direct them to our web page. When they fill out a new membership application, please make sure they put your name in the Referred By field. We have a contest once a year for the member who refers the most new members. Life and Honorary MembersThe title of Life Member is offered to those retiring from the practice clinic or actively academic. Life Members have all rights of active members, except voting rights, but will be exempt from annual dues and will not have the benefit of receiving the official journal distributed to active members. Members must notify the office in writing of the change in status from an active member to life member. The lifetime membership is available for those who are up to date on their dues as active members. The title of Honorary Member is to be considered for distinguished individuals who have made outstanding contributions in the fields of hepato-pancreato-biliary disease both in the field and as a scientist. Honorary members are not entitled to vote, are exempt from annual dues and will not have a benefit of receiving the official journal distributed to active members.
