The Match - Timelines and Process

Surgical Oncology & HPB Surgery Fellowship Match for 2011-2012

The AHPBA (Americas Hepato-Pancreatic-Biliary Association), The Fellowship Council, and the SSO (Society of Surgical Oncology) are pleased to announce the opening of the combined HPB-SSO match for 2011-2012. Similar to the previous two years, the applicant will be required to apply for the HPB programs via the Fellowship Council and for the surgical oncology programs via the SSO. While these two applications are independent, the ranking list and match will be conducted via one combined list and match process.

Important dates for the combined HBP - SSO match:

•    Fellowship Council HPB-SSO Application Process Opens: May 9, 2011 (Monday)
•    Fellowship Council HPB Application Deadline: July 1, 2011 (Friday)
•    Combined Match Application (Rank Order) Deadline: September 19, 2011 (Monday)
•    Results of the match announced via e-mail to all applicants (match day): October 27, 2011 (Thursday)
