North & Latin American Exchange Grant

The purpose of this grant is to support one week of travel for successful applicants to train in another country’s institution. The goal of the program is to promote the exchange of ideas and best practices between HPB surgeons in North and Latin America.

To apply, candidates must be an AHPBA Member in Good Standing (2019 member dues must be paid) as well as currently reside and practice in North or Latin America. Applicants must submit to travel to another country, besides their own, within the Americas Region.

Three recipients will be awarded $5k each to offset costs of travel and accommodation for a 1-week exchange to an HPB Center in North or Latin America. Travel must be completed by February 1, 2020.
