Sean P. Cleary, MD

Dr. Sean Cleary received and a BScH from Queen’s University and his MD from the University of Western Ontario. He completed his General Surgery Residency training at the University of Toronto and fellowship training in Pancreatic and Heptobiliary Surgical Oncology and Transplantation at the Toronto General Hospital. He obtained a Masters of Science in Cancer Genetics and a Masters of Public Health and Epidemiology from the School of Public Health Sciences at the University of Toronto. Dr Cleary is currently as Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgery, University of Toronto, with appointments in the Divisions of General Surgery and Surgical Oncology. His clinical interests include the surgical treatment of pancreatic, hepatic and biliary malignancies as well as minimally invasive hepatobiliary surgery. Dr Cleary’s research interests are focused on the genetic epidemiology of colorectal, pancreatic and hepatobiliary cancers.
